"Great stories happen to those who can tell them." - Ira Glass

I'm a freelance journalist and educator, currently working as the training coordinator at the National Press Club Journalism Institute, the nonprofit arm of the National Press Club. In this role, I organize trainings, panels, and other programs that help journalists build their skills and networks, in support of a stronger democracy.

I have a decade of reporting and editing experience, most recently with WAMU 88.5 (Washington’s NPR station), where I covered local arts and culture. I graduated from the Newhouse School with a master's degree in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism and received a bachelor’s degree in communication from Villanova University. I love telling human interest stories, primarily focusing on community news, culture, and entertainment. I’ve also taught an intro-level news writing and reporting course at George Washington University.

Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to take a look at some of my writing here!
